Quang Ninh Province organizes training course on improving cross-border e-commerce skills

On July 28, the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ninh coordinated with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and OSB Investment and Technology Joint Stock Company (representative of Alibaba Group) to organize the training program " Improving cross-border e-commerce skills in Quang Ninh 2023".

According to the Vietnam E-commerce Index Report 2022 (announced by the Vietnam E-commerce Association): Quang Ninh province's e-commerce index ranked 17th in the country (reaching 21.9 points). B2C e-commerce sales are estimated to account for 12% of the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province; the proportion of Quang Ninh's population participating in online shopping is over 40%; and the value of e-commerce transactions of import and export enterprises in the province accounts for about 35% of the total import and export turnover.

Enterprises in the province have somewhat caught up with the trend of using e-commerce platforms to reach domestic and international customers and expand export markets. This has contributed significantly to economic growth and promoted the development of Quang Ninh province. In the first 6 months of 2023, despite many difficulties due to political instability in the world, the export turnover of Quang Ninh enterprises in the first 6 months of the year increased by 12.69% over the same period. To achieve the above results, there is a significant contribution of e-commerce.

However, it is undeniable that the introduction of e-commerce into export also poses some difficulties and challenges. Enterprises face the problem of fierce competition from other countries, limited e-commerce management skills and the international customs and shipping process can be difficult and complicated. These are issues that need to be focused on to improve the efficiency of online export and facilitate businesses.
