Zalo - "digital bridge" between Government, Enterprises and Users In 2012, VNG launched the Zalo messaging application with the goal of becoming a free connection platform for Vietnamese people. After 12 years, by the end of June 2024, Zalo recorded 77 million monthly active users and 1.9 billion messages sent per day, becoming the most popular messaging platform in Vietnam. In particular, Zalo Official Account (Zalo OA) has become an effective connection channel between users and businesses, as the number of businesses paying monthly usage fees has increased by 25% compared to 2023. Zalo also quickly turned on the Zalo SOS feature to help people in provinces affected by the storm update their personal status. In just 10 days, Zalo SOS recorded about 1 million people updating their safety status, 151,000 people connecting for support, and 87,000 people making emergency contacts. In 2023, Zalo was commended by the Ho Chi Minh City Police for its outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, actively contributing to maintaining security and order, preventing crime and administrative reform. Zalopay and the goal of building a cashless society 
After more than 6 years of development, Zalopay is currently serving more than 14 million users, providing a product portfolio of more than 100 convenient services, and is a digital financial platform with the top 2 penetration rate in the Vietnamese market. One of the outstanding solutions that brought Zalopay many awards this year is the Zalopay QR Multi-function payment code. In July 2023, Zalopay became one of the pioneers in cooperating with Napas to launch this breakthrough payment solution, accepting payments from all banking applications and e-wallets. Currently, Zalopay QR Multi-function has become the leading payment method at more than 12,000 chains of stores and services nationwide.
