Heavy rain news from the afternoon of October 24 and weather forecast for the next 10 days

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has just issued a bulletin predicting heavy rain in the North - Central Central region and a 10-day weather forecast, from now until November 2, for regions across the country.

Accordingly, last night and this morning (October 24), the area from Quang Tri to Quang Nam had moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places had very heavy rain. The rainfall from 7:00 p.m. on October 23 to 8:00 a.m. on October 24 was over 160mm in some places such as: Dong Luong (Quang Tri) 199.6mm, Vinh Kim (Quang Tri) 175.6mm, Phu An (Thua Thien Hue) 196.4mm, Binh Duong (Quang Nam) 166.2mm.

On the day and night of October 24, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang areas will have moderate rain, with heavy rain in some places.

It is forecasted that on the day and night of October 24, the area from Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places with common rainfall: from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue from 50-100mm, in some places over 200mm; Nghe An-Ha Tinh 40-70mm, in some places over 150mm.

On the day and night of October 24, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang areas had moderate rain, some places had heavy rain with rainfall from 20-50mm, some places over 70mm.

Due to heavy rain, people need to be on guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding of rice fields and crops in low-lying areas; be on guard against heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The meteorological agency warned that from October 25, heavy rain in the Central region will gradually decrease.

The North has rain in some places, especially in the Delta and the Northeast from the night of October 24 there will be scattered rain and thunderstorms in some places.

In the North and Central Central regions from October 25, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.

Other areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Weather forecast from night 23 to 2/11

On October 26, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. On October 27-28, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain. From the night of October 28, the night and morning will be cold, with some mountainous areas being freezing.

In the North and Central Central regions from the evening of October 27-28, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas in the North having moderate to heavy rain. In the North from the night of October 29, the night and morning will be cold.

The Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening of October 26. Thunderstorms are likely to include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
