Heavy rain news in Central Vietnam from the night of December 3 and weather forecast for the next 10 days

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a bulletin predicting heavy rain in the Central region and a weather forecast for the next 10 days, from the night of December 3 to December 12, for regions across the country.

Accordingly, last night and early this morning (December 3), in the area from Quang Tri to Binh Thuan, the Southern Central Highlands, there was rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain; especially the area from Khanh Hoa to Northern Binh Thuan had heavy rain to very heavy rain.

Forecast of heavy rain in the next 24 to 48 hours: On December 3, the area from Thua Thien Hue to Ninh Thuan will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 40-80mm, some places over 150mm.

From the night of December 3, heavy rain in the above areas gradually decreased.

Due to the impact of heavy rain, people need to be on guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding of rice fields and crops in low-lying areas; and be on guard against heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas.

Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The meteorological agency also warned that at sea, on December 4, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea and the sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, waves 2.0-3.0m high, rough seas.

The North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh will have rain in some places, from December 4th it will be sunny in the afternoon; the North and North Central regions will be cold, the mountainous areas of the North will have severe cold in some places, from December 4th it will be cold at night and in the morning.

The area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa has moderate rain, heavy rain, some places have very heavy rain and thunderstorms; from the night of December 3, there will be scattered rain and showers.

Central Highlands has showers and thunderstorms in some places.

Other areas have scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the South on the evening of December 3, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain.

Weather forecast from night 4 to day 12/12

In the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, there will be rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon; on the night of December 5 and the day of December 6, there will be scattered rain. Cold at night and in the morning.

The area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have scattered rain and showers on the night of December 4 and from December 6-7.
