On April 6, the Department of Information and Communications of Dong Nai province said that the unit had coordinated with the Radio Frequency Center - Region II (Ministry of Information and Communications) to successfully handle the radiation source that caused interference with the smartkey system of some cars and motorbikes in the area.
Accordingly, for about a week now, some residents living in the Vu Hong Pho street area (Binh Da ward, Bien Hoa city) have reported that this area often experiences the phenomenon of smart keys of motorbikes and cars being "paralyzed", suspected to be due to signal interference.
Upon receiving the information, the Department of Information and Communications of Dong Nai province coordinated with relevant units to immediately approach locations with signs of suspected interference, using specialized technical equipment to inspect and detect and handle radio emission sources that may cause interference.
After an inspection, the professional force discovered that the radio remote control device for opening and closing automatic doors of a facility continuously transmitted on the central frequency of 433.845 MHZ. This signal caused interference on the frequency band for smart locking devices.
The unit requested the facility to stop operating this jamming device and now the area is free of interference, cars and motorbikes using smart locks are back to normal operation.
According to the provincial Department of Information and Communications, this device is exempt from licensing but causes interference with surrounding smartkey devices, so the facility has been asked to stop using it.
At the same time, hand over the interfering device to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
Currently, the Radio Frequency Department has set up a hotline number 0862.92.92.92 to receive feedback from organizations and individuals when smartkey car and motorbike locking devices and other cases are affected by radio interference.
