MU looking for new goalkeeper, discussing Andre Onana
MU officials have approached to discuss personal terms with Andre Onana, in a deal worth around 50 million Euros.
Journalist Fabrizo Romano revealed that MU officials just met with Albert Botines, the representative of goalkeeper Andre Oana.
MU is looking for a new goalkeeper in case they part ways with David de Gea after June 30.
De Gea is on summer break and has not made any decision about his future.
The Spanish goalkeeper must take a pay cut if he activates the extension clause or has the option of moving to Saudi Arabian football.
Onana's ability was soon evident from Ajax to Inter Milan, where he was the goalkeeper with the most saves in the 2022/23 Champions League.
Onana was heavily influenced by coach Erik ten Hag during his time at Ajax, particularly his ability to use his feet and play the ball from the back.
This is also the reason why the Dutch strategist prioritized signing a contract with Onana to aim for competition in the Champions League and Premier League.
Coach Ten Hag believes Onana is the right man to implement his favourite football, with significant influence from coach Pep Guardiola.
The negotiation process between MU and agent Botines was quite smooth, as Onana himself also wanted to come to English football and a competitive environment like Old Trafford.
For their part, Inter have set a price tag of €50m with options to pay later.

Is Aurelien Tchouameni the player that MU need?
Former centre-back Rio Ferdinand believes his old team MU must surpass Liverpool to bring Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni to Old Trafford.
Tchouameni was Liverpool's priority before the 23-year-old opted to join Real Madrid in 2022 for €80m (which could rise to €100m with add-ons).
Tchouameni's first season has not gone as expected, and according to Nacional , Liverpool are looking to capitalise on the situation to lure their target, following Real Madrid's signing of Jude Bellingham.
According to this source, Tchouameni is thinking about a transfer (leaving), with Bellingham at the Bernabeu.
Coach Jurgen Klopp's team is said to be about to make an offer worth 50 million Euros, but that is not enough when Real Madrid wants to recoup the 80 million Euros they spent.
Rio Ferdinand believes that Tchouameni is the player MU needs, not Mason Mount as they are pursuing: "In the MU midfield, do you know who I will choose to supplement for next season? I will try to find a way to sign Tchouameni...".

MU hopes to have Mason Mount soon
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said that after the second offer worth 50 million pounds (including 5 million pounds in additional fees) was rejected by Chelsea, MU will continue to "attack" the Mason Mount deal with the third bid.
Coach Erik ten Hag's team is said to be confident of having Mason Mount, because he has agreed 100% of personal terms with MU and wants to move to Old Trafford to play football.
New Chelsea head coach Pochettino really wants to keep Mason Mount but he firmly refuses to sign a new contract, while the two sides only have one year left on their agreement.
Chelsea want £60 million plus £5 million in fees from MU if they want Mason Mount. However, sources also said that the Blues' leadership will be flexible according to the situation, because if they make it too tense, they will lose.
Because if they don't sell Mason Mount this summer, Chelsea face the risk of losing the England international for free next year.
However, MU also made it clear to Chelsea: they want Mason Mount but will not pay too high a price and hope the deal can be done as soon as possible.
