Rambutan prices increase sharply

Na Chi Lang enters the harvest season

Hung Yen specialty longan with high price

At this time, gardeners and cooperatives in Hung Yen province are entering the longan harvest. Some specialty longan varieties such as ancient flesh longan, veined flesh longan, and rock sugar longan are widely ordered by customers and traders.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hung Yen province, the province currently grows about 5,000 hectares of longan; of which, about 1,000 hectares are planted with old-flesh and rock sugar longan varieties, concentrated in Hung Yen city and the districts of An Thi, Kim Dong, Tien Lu, and Khoai Chau.

So far, the farmers here have harvested 600 kg, mainly for customers to order as gifts. Currently, customers order an average of 200-300 kg of longan per day, with an average selling price of 70,000 - 80,000 VND/kg. It is estimated that their family will finish harvesting in about a week.

Other farmers are also busy preparing enough longan to deliver to customers. This year, their family has been harvesting longan since July 23, and has so far harvested about 70%, mainly from traders ordering in large quantities and units ordering as gifts. Their family expects to harvest about 7 tons, with an average selling price of 70,000 VND/kg, so the family is very excited.
