The 14th Party Congress's Charter Subcommittee held its second session.

On August 22, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission, Head of the Party Charter Subcommittee of the 14th National Congress chaired the second meeting of the Subcommittee.

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; members of the Subcommittee, the Working Group, and the Editorial Group of the Subcommittee.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, presented a summary report on some key contents in the draft Report of the 13th Party Central Committee summarizing Party building work and implementation of the Party Charter.

Based on the Outline approved by the 9th Central Conference, 13th tenure and the summary reports of Party committees, Party organizations directly under the Central Committee, agencies and units in the Central Committee; survey results from June 2024 at 8 Party committees directly under the Central Committee (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Yen Bai, Dak Lak, Central Military Commission, Party Committee of Central Agencies, Party Committee of Central Enterprises), the Subcommittee drafted the Report of the 13th Party Central Committee summarizing the work of Party building and implementation of the Party Charter.

Discussing at the meeting, the Subcommittee members highly appreciated the Central Organizing Committee (the Standing Body of the Subcommittee), the Working Group, and the Editorial Group for proactively, actively, and effectively implementing the work of preparing, building, and completing the elaborate, high-quality draft Report, closely following the outline, honestly, objectively, and fully synthesizing the comments of the Subcommittee members and Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, and units.

The Subcommittee members participated in supplementing some important contents, which have theoretical and practical significance, deepening the comments, assessments, guiding viewpoints, tasks and solutions in the draft Report, contributing to the best preparation. 14th Congress of the Party.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Le Minh Hung highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of the Subcommittee members. Comrade Le Minh Hung said that at the upcoming 10th Central Conference, the Subcommittees will present to the Central Executive Committee for discussion and initial approval of draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, to be discussed at Party congresses at all levels in 2025.

Comrade Le Minh Hung requested that the members of the Subcommittee continue to spend time, attention, maintain close contact with the Subcommittee's Standing Body, promote the sense of responsibility as well as experience from previous terms to contribute to the development and completion of the draft Report. The Subcommittee's Standing Body, the Working Group, and the Editorial Group need to concentrate, work actively, continue to synthesize and absorb comments from groups and individuals to complete the draft Report to ensure the quality and progress set forth.
