*Pig price in the Northern region
On the morning of November 26, the price of live pigs in the Northern region continued to decrease in Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc and Thai Nguyen, reaching the same price of 61,000 VND/kg. In contrast, the price of live pigs in Thai Binh suddenly increased, reaching 63,000 VND/kg.
Thus, Thai Binh is currently the only locality recording transactions at 63,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. The price of live pigs in the remaining provinces and cities in the region fluctuates from 61,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
*Pig price in the Central Highlands region
The Central Highlands market remains stable at around 59,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
Of which, only Dak Lak province buys and sells live pigs at 59,000 VND/kg. This is also the lowest price in the country. The remaining localities in this region are selling live pigs at prices ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
*Pig price in the Southern region
The southern pig market today decreased slightly in Hau Giang and Dong Thap, both at 61,000 VND/kg.
Currently, live pigs in the South are being bought and sold at around 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg. Of which, Long An, An Giang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang provinces and Can Tho city are selling live pigs at 63,000 VND/kg.
*According to reports from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, our country will basically maintain its pig herd and supply from now until Tet.
Mr. Tong Xuan Chinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development commented: "Up to now, according to reports from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, we basically still maintain the pig herd as well as the supply from now until Tet. In particular, we forecast that by the end of this year, the total pork output will still reach over 5 million tons."
According to the Department of Animal Husbandry, in addition to pork, there is still a large supply of over 2.5 million tons of poultry meat; over 630 thousand tons of buffalo, beef, goat and sheep meat. With a total output of over 8.2 million tons of fresh meat, it can ensure supply at the end of the year and during the Lunar New Year.
