After 4 months of implementation, the Vietnam Wildlife Action Center (WildAct) has successfully raised funds for the "Springs of the Forest" fundraising campaign for children of forest rangers facing difficulties at Chu Yang Sin National Park.

With an area of about 60,000 hectares, Chu Yang Sin National Park only has about 100 forest rangers working, which means each ranger will be responsible for protecting 600 hectares of Chu Yang Sin forest.

Understanding the nature of forestry work and the concerns about balancing work and family economic conditions, WildAct and the community raised a fund worth 100 million VND, including 10 scholarships and 225 gifts to welcome the new school year 2024-2025 and Mid-Autumn Festival, thereby creating motivation and opening up opportunities for students to access better learning and education conditions.

Mr. Loc Xuan Nghia, Director of Chu Yang Sin National Park, expressed: "Most of the ethnic forest rangers still face economic difficulties and their children in the buffer zone do not have good learning conditions like their peers.

We hope that support from the community and businesses will help children study better, become bright future generations, and help forest rangers feel more secure when performing their duties."

In addition, accompanying the event “Spring of the Forest” is the photo exhibition “Steadfast Steps in the Great Forest” displaying memorable moments during forest patrols by forest rangers, specialized forest protection forces and Community Forest Patrol Teams at Chu Yang Sin National Park.

The photos represent the community’s deep gratitude to the silent dedication of the forest rangers who have worked hard to preserve the ecosystem in the garden. Thereby, evoking sympathy from members and inspiring their children to love nature.

Dr. Trang Nguyen - Director and Founder of WildAct, shared: "The WildAct team and I hope that ranger families see the community's interest in their work. From there, their children will understand and be more proud of the silent contributions that their parents are making."

Accordingly, this is an opportunity for WildAct to pass on their love of the profession and nature to children. Because who knows, in the future, they will be the next generation of conservationists.

Trang Nguyen also shared her desire to accompany the children and families of forest rangers in the forest buffer zone, not only to share the silent difficulties that this force has to face, but also to create the best conditions for the development of the "future buds".
