On December 15, together with other localities in the province, Tien Yen district will simultaneously organize the election of village, hamlet and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term. Determining that the election of village, hamlet and ward chiefs plays an important role at the grassroots level, Tien Yen district has proactively developed and implemented the election plan to localities in the area. Up to now, the preparation work for the election of village and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term has been carefully and fully implemented by the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the district.
The election of village and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term is considered an important political event, because voters in the entire district will directly vote to choose those with sufficient capacity and prestige to run the work "close to the people". Accordingly, Tien Yen district has developed an implementation plan, documents guiding the election work and assigned specific tasks to each member in charge of each election team. At the same time, 76 election teams were established in 76 villages and ward with a total of 527 members to run the election work.
Tien Yen is also the first locality in the province to organize training and guidance on election work for commune-level cadres, civil servants, village and residential area chiefs, heads of village and residential area front committees, and direct the commune level to organize training for members of election teams. At the same time, personnel work was also prepared early and carefully by localities in the district in accordance with the correct procedures. Party committees, local authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, sectors, agencies and units in the district have promoted propaganda and mobilization work, creating solidarity and unity in the political system; creating excitement and consensus among the people for the election of village chiefs.
Tien Yen district has also proactively and early prepared facilities for election day. The district has 76 polling stations, and localities have arranged polling stations in accordance with regulations, flexibly, creating favorable conditions for people to vote. Security and order work is planned to be strengthened by the district police and the police forces of communes and towns before, during and after election day to ensure security and order at the grassroots level. At this time, localities are focusing on carefully preparing facilities, checking, repairing and renovating cultural houses, decorating with flags and slogans at polling stations, creating a vibrant atmosphere to attract voters to the election.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Tien Yen district, said: “Up to now, the villages and neighborhoods in the district have completed the organization of the Front Working Committee conference to plan the list of candidates and organize the conference of voters representing households to discuss and collect opinions on the recommended personnel to elect the Village Chief, and at the same time exercise the people's right to nominate and run for election. During the implementation process, the villages and neighborhoods have closely followed the instructions of the superiors; focused on promoting the role of the Party cells, Party members, and heads of the Front Working Committees of the villages and neighborhoods when selecting and planning to introduce candidates. Accordingly, 76 villages and neighborhoods in the district have selected, consulted, and introduced 76 candidates for the position of Village Chief for the 2025-2027 term according to the model of "People trust - Party nominates". Through the introduction conferences, the candidates all met the prescribed standards and conditions, were trusted by the Party cell and highly supported by the people.
Along with that, the localities of the district are actively implementing the next steps to guide the best preparation for the election day such as: posting the list of candidates, reviewing, making a list and posting the list of voters, facilities, ballot boxes... are all carefully prepared, ensuring regulations. Each polling station is decorated with banners, slogans and flags to create a bustling atmosphere. Relevant units of the district and communes and towns also organize inspections, supervision, timely direction and guidance for the election to be successful.
With careful, synchronous, urgent and active preparation, we believe that the election day for village and ward chiefs in Tien Yen district will take place safely, in accordance with the law, and truly be a festival for all people.
