On the morning of November 26, the 2023 Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village Cultural - Tourism Festival began taking place in Dong Hoa Hiep commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province with many unique cultural, tourism and sports activities.

This year's festival takes place from November 26-27 with many diverse activities contributing to widely promoting the cultural values of Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village, creating more highlights for eco-tourism in Tien Giang province.
Highlights of the 2023 Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village Cultural - Tourism Festival include: Organizing a rural market; Folk cake making contest; OCOP product display; Competition on rituals and five-fruit trays; releasing flower lanterns; lion and dragon dance performances and art performances; reenacting communal house worship rituals; physical education, sports activities, folk games; and amateur music exchange.
According to Mr. Le Van Y, Vice Chairman of Cai Be District People's Committee, the Festival has become an important cultural and tourism event, held annually, to introduce and promote the cultural and tourism image, unique products of Cai Be District to friends and visitors from near and far; at the same time, affirming tourism as a potential and advantage for socio-economic development. The district hopes that from this event, Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village will become an attractive tourist destination for visitors on their journey of experience in the river and garden land of Cai Be.
Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village, located in Dong Hoa Hiep commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang, currently has about 7 ancient houses dating from 150 - 220 years old and 29 houses built 80 - 100 years ago.
Dong Hoa Hiep is one of three ancient villages in Vietnam chosen by the General Department of Tourism (now the Vietnam National Tourism Administration) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to invest in developing a rural tourism model. This place has become one of the tourist attractions in Tien Giang.
The architectural and artistic relic of Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village has been ranked as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism according to Decision No. 2080/QD-BVHTTDL in 2017. The two ancient houses of Mr. Le Quang Xoat and Mr. Vo Van Vo in Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village have been ranked as provincial-level historical and cultural relics.
