On the evening of December 24, the Vietnam Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held the Vietnam Golden Star Award ceremony. This year's award has 293 nominated businesses.

After 21 years of implementation (2003 - 2024), Sao Vang Dat Viet has become a noble award, contributing to building the prestige and image of Vietnamese brands. Enterprises after receiving the award have grown strongly, expanded their international markets, had more foreign partners, and become proud symbols of the locality and the country.

Enterprises participating in this year's award were nominated from 53 provinces and cities across the country. The award selection committee selected outstanding enterprises based on many criteria of business efficiency and social responsibility. The voting results were assessed by economic experts.

The Top 200 enterprises winning the Vietnam Golden Star Award this year have total assets of up to 8 million billion VND; revenue in 2023 will reach 799,000 billion VND, profit will reach 115,000 billion VND, contribute 65,000 billion VND to the budget and create jobs for 405,000 workers.

The core value in the sustainable journey that CL-FISH builds is to demonstrate a model that promotes effective business development and stable growth, gradually transforming the company from a small, family-sized enterprise into a trillion-dollar enterprise, contributing to turning pangasius from a traditional product into a quality symbol on the international dining table.

With many years of experience in raising and exporting pangasius to many countries around the world, 22 years of operation of the pangasius export processing factory, CL-FISH is recognized as one of the pioneers and leaders in this field in Vietnam.

Looking back at the early days, CL-FISH had a difficult start when it first invested in building the factory in 2003, when the Vietnamese pangasius industry was simultaneously banned from import by two major markets, the US and Europe, following an anti-dumping lawsuit. In this context, CL-FISH had to flexibly pivot its market to seek growth. The Middle East, a completely unfamiliar region for pangasius at that time, became the destination that CL-FISH pioneered, laying the foundation for a potential international market.

In 2007, CL-FISH became the pioneer pangasius production company in the industry listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (Hose, stock code ACL), affirming its position as a typical enterprise with charter capital of over VND 500 billion, equity of over VND 800 billion and estimated revenue of 70 million USD in 2024.

The success in exploring new markets further motivates the company to confidently enter other demanding and potential markets, creating a mark for Vietnamese tra and basa fish in the international arena.

In 2006, thanks to its good export solutions, CL-FISH was one of 200 units awarded the “Business Excellence Awards” by the National Committee for International Economic Cooperation. A year later, the European market returned to normal, and the US gradually opened its doors to Vietnamese seafood.

In order to proactively supply clean raw materials, meet production scale, and commit to origin meeting export standards to the US, Europe, South America and Asian countries, CL-FISH invests in a closed supply chain, from feed production, farming to processing and distribution. By investing in BAP and ASC standard farms, CL-FISH has built a long-term reputation and increased value for the Vietnamese pangasius industry.

Currently, CL-FISH has a large fish farming area of about 150 hectares. With this farming area, the enterprise can annually supply about 40,000 tons of fresh fish, ensuring 100% of raw fish input for all 3 factories year-round. This ensures the stable input of fresh and clean raw materials as well as ensuring the quality of output products.

CL-FISH’s journey is a testament to the perseverance and unceasing desire to reach new heights. Through its pioneering steps, CL-FISH not only affirms the position of Vietnamese pangasius but also contributes to putting Vietnamese aquaculture on the world map.
