GUARDIAN. Constitutional Court President Tamas Sulyok has been elected as Hungary's new president by the parliament following the resignation of Katalin Novak, who sparked outrage by pardoning a man convicted of child abuse.
FRANCE 24. French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Paris today, February 27 - Qatar's first full state visit in 15 years.
REUTERS. The Greek government has approved its participation in an EU naval mission in the Red Sea to protect commercial ships from attacks by Houthi forces in Yemen.
AFP. Farmers in several EU member states drove tractors to blockade parts of the Belgian capital Brussels to demand action from EU officials on a range of issues, from cheap supermarket prices to free trade agreements.
AL JAZEERA. The Kremlin said Denmark's decision to halt its investigation into the Nord Stream 2 pipeline explosion in 2022 was "almost absurd".

AL JAZEERA. Tens of thousands of Brazilians marched in support of former President Jair Bolsonaro amid an investigation into allegations he tried to stage a coup after losing the 2022 election.
