Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, 59 years old, from Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province, has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Investigation. His career began in the security sector, where he held the positions of Head of Economic Security Department, Deputy Head of General Economic Security Department. He later became Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Public Security, Deputy Chief of Office, then Chief of Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security.
In 2019, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency. In January 2022, Mr. Quang was promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General. In January 2021, Mr. Quang was elected to the 13th Party Central Committee for the first time at the age of 56.
Currently, the Ministry of Public Security has four Deputy Ministers: Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To and three Lieutenant Generals Le Quoc Hung, Nguyen Van Long, and Le Van Tuyen.
