This morning, February 7, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang chaired a working session of the Standing Provincial Party Committee with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union on a number of key tasks in 2025. Reporting at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Thi Thu said that, implementing the 2024 working theme "Year of Youth Volunteers", all levels of the Youth Union have organized many meaningful and practical programs and activities from the province to the grassroots, creating a widespread influence among children and all classes of people.
Notably, it has effectively promoted youth movements and campaigns in labor and socio-economic development, focusing on promoting the "Youth Volunteer" movement for community life, especially in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of 3 national target programs in the province.
In 2024, the entire delegation built 7 provincial-level youth projects, 50 district-level youth projects, 2,590 grassroots-level youth projects and tasks with a total value of more than 8 billion VND. Focus on effectively implementing the program "Quang Tri Youth Union proactively implements the digital transformation program for the period 2022 - 2027"; actively apply information technology and social networks in the delegation's propaganda activities, especially on the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union fanpage.
In particular, the Youth Union at all levels focused on implementing the work of supervision, social criticism, and giving opinions on Party and government building. Strengthening the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation. During the year, the entire Youth Union introduced 1,973 outstanding members to the Party for consideration of admission, of which 1,128 members were admitted to the Party.
Regarding the results of implementing the commitments to the Provincial Party Committee in 2024, the Provincial Youth Union has seriously implemented 3/3 targets reaching and exceeding 100%.
With the theme of 2025 being “Quang Tri Youth is proud and confident in following the Party”, the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee has proposed key tasks and 58 major activities planned to be held during the year. At the same time, it proposed and recommended that the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee’s Organizing Committee pay attention to giving opinions on the direction of adjusting the functions, tasks, structure of the Party Executive Committee, and the plan to organize the Party Congress of the Provincial Youth Union to suit the operating model after the establishment of the Party Committee of the Party and mass organizations.

Propose the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Program to Support Capacity Building for Disabled Youth, Community Reintegration Youth, and Ethnic Minority Youth for the period 2025 - 2030; At the same time, promptly allocate funding for 2 projects: Prevention and control of crimes and social evils among youth in Quang Tri province for the period 2023 - 2026; Career counseling and entrepreneurship for youth associated with the province's socio-economic development orientation for the period 2023 - 2026 ...
Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang suggested that all levels of the Youth Union should add to the group of key tasks for 2025 contents related to supporting and accompanying disadvantaged youth, reformed youth, and youth facing difficulties in housing and employment. In particular, it is necessary to specifically evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of policies and support resolutions of the province in the past for a number of youth.
Further strengthen political and ideological education, education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, cultural lifestyle, enhance political capacity, and arouse aspirations of young people. Promote the campaign "Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam", especially developing the Party among students and union members in residential areas.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial Youth Union to report and specifically evaluate the results of the implementation of resolutions and action programs of the central and provincial governments on strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country in order to develop the youth movement more strongly, create positive and comprehensive changes in all aspects of work, and promote the role of youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
