On July 20, 2024, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued a special communique on the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. In the dispatch, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested:
Agencies and units promptly and fully inform cadres and party members about the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Agencies, offices, and public places must fly flags at half-mast and no public entertainment activities will be held during the two days of National Mourning (July 25, 2024 and July 26, 2024).
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to promote propaganda about the life, career, and great contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The provincial police, the provincial military command, the provincial border guards, localities and units must strengthen the work of ensuring security and order; maintain sovereignty and security of borders on land, at sea and in the air, and absolutely not be passive or surprised in any situation.
