Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee works with Standing Committee of Thuan Bac District Party Committee

On March 13, comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired an online meeting with the Standing Committee of the Thuan Bac District Party Committee on the results of leadership and direction in implementing the tasks of socio-economic development and Party building in the district in 2023; directions and tasks in 2024. Attending the meeting were comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments and branches of the province.

In 2023, closely following the motto of action "Solidarity, discipline, determination, flexibility, creativity, efficiency", Thuan Bac District Party Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, Party building work and the political system achieved many important results. Completed 13/14 targets, achieved and exceeded the set plan; the potential and advantages of the district, especially renewable energy, industrial production activities, and agriculture continued to maintain growth. The process of building new rural areas has changed significantly, the average number of criteria in the whole district reached 17.33 criteria/commune, an increase of 6 criteria compared to 2022, the criteria for building Loi Hai commune to meet the standards of a basic type V urban area achieved good results. Social security policies were fully and promptly implemented; Vocational training and job creation have been promoted, creating new jobs for 1,179 workers, exceeding the plan by 31%. Attention has been paid to training, fostering, transferring and mobilizing cadres; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and the quality of cadres and party members have been improved.

At the meeting, Thuan Bac district proposed that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant departments and agencies to conduct surveys and establish investment projects to build anti-erosion embankments, combined with flood drainage on the Kien Kien stream, Ba Rau stream, Vang stream, and Song Trau stream systems. Reclaim part of the land area of the Son Tay Goat and Rabbit Research Center so that the district can allocate land for ethnic minorities to produce.

Concluding the working session, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and praised the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and creativeness of the Party Committee and the people in comprehensively implementing all fields, especially in training, job creation for the people, and poverty reduction. In addition to the achieved results, he also pointed out shortcomings and limitations such as the trade and service sector still accounts for a low proportion in the economic structure, agricultural development is not commensurate with potential advantages; the results of new rural and urban construction are not really sustainable, the mobilization of investment resources for socio-economic development is not much; The implementation of local national target programs is still slow... To contribute to accelerating the successful implementation of the targets set out in the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, he suggested that the Thuan Bac District Party Committee review, research, identify, analyze, and evaluate more thoroughly the potentials and advantages, thereby adjusting the planning to exploit and use them effectively as a driving force for development. Focus on restructuring the agricultural sector to respond to climate change, develop industry, promote promotion, attract investors to industrial production activities, focusing on Du Long industrial park. Implement social security policies to ensure timely and appropriate targets; effectively integrate national target programs, develop the socio-economy of ethnic minority and mountainous areas; improve the quality of education and health care; strengthen leadership and direction to effectively implement local defense and military tasks.

Focus on improving Party building, political and ideological education, raising awareness, creating solidarity, unity and having breakthroughs in implementing new tasks. Continue to thoroughly grasp, propagate and bring the Party's guidelines, policies and resolutions, the State's policies and laws to cadres, party members and the masses. Develop a plan to inspect, supervise and organize a preliminary and final review of resolutions, directives and conclusions of the central, provincial and district levels to draw lessons and prepare in advance for the District Party Congress Documents for the 2025-2030 term. The Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee continues to direct departments and branches to advise on resolving the district's recommendations in a strict and correct manner. At the same time, pay attention to promptly removing difficulties and obstacles related to resources, planning, land use plans, urban construction, services, trade, tourism, etc.
