On the afternoon of January 8, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the implementation of the task of building a brand identity for Quang Ninh.
According to the report at the meeting, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a scientific workshop to consult on the construction of the Quang Ninh brand identity, receiving 12 opinions from experts, researchers, and scientists in the fields of culture, fine arts, graphics, architecture, and religion.
Brand identity will not only stop at tangible objects such as logos, iconic buildings, dishes, publications, etc., but the identity must be based on the cultural and spiritual values of an entire region, country, or territory. The provincial identity is associated with the national brand identity to create a combined strength, spreading unique cultural values on the world stage.
Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that building a brand identity that is true to the core values of the locality requires careful investment from the research stage, strategic ideas to creativity and always ensuring consistency.
Thereby, he requested the Department of Culture - Sports to preside over and coordinate with units to focus on building the brand identity of Quang Ninh province to ensure the characteristics of the Quang Ninh value system, the characteristics of 13 localities in the province, the elements of the new development era; the leadership of the Party and ensuring sovereignty and border security. In particular, the identity must have all the main components of the local brand identity including: philosophy, political context, local characteristics, images, characteristic colors, fonts, slogans, visual propaganda products (panels, outdoor posters, electronics...), sound, product packaging, costumes,...
The Department of Culture and Sports needs to widely launch the contest to build the Quang Ninh brand identity and logo; ensure that the scoring of the works is completed before July 31, 2025; and report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee before August 31, 2025 to consider and select the works.
