Kinhtedothi - On January 14, the Hanoi People's Committee held a conference to announce the Hanoi Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; Adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech.

At the Conference, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Tam briefly presented the contents of two planning projects: Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 and Adjustment of Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065 - an important task completed in 2024 of Hanoi to specify the goals and tasks of developing Hanoi Capital.

Completing 2 very important plans of the Capital
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised and congratulated Hanoi for completing two elaborate plans, on the basis of inheriting previous plans and finding different potentials, outstanding opportunities, and new competitive advantages.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the recently approved Hanoi Planning for finding and developing distinct potentials, outstanding opportunities, competitive advantages; discovering contradictions, shortcomings, limitations, challenges... to propose solutions to resolve and overcome them.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the implementation of the Planning must continue to closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, the practical situation of localities, regions, the world, and the needs and aspirations of the people; have appropriate and effective measures to mobilize resources; respect the Planning and when adjustments are needed, they must be carefully considered and studied.
The Prime Minister suggested that Hanoi study and build a well-planned exhibition center to both increase publicity, transparency and public supervision, attract investment, and be a tourism product; build "villages in the city, cities in the village". At the same time, focus on developing cultural and entertainment industries, maximizing rich and heroic traditions and cultural and historical identities; effectively exploit underground space, outer space, water surface space, lakes and ponds, especially the Red River...
"If Hanoi strictly implements the recently approved major planning projects, the city will have important and breakthrough steps, contributing to the era of national development" - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
Developing the Capital "Cultured - Civilized - Modern"
Previously, on December 12, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1569/QD-TTg approving the Hanoi Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The Hanoi Capital Planning is established with “new vision - new global thinking, Capital thinking and Hanoi action”, creating “new opportunities - new values” to develop the “Cultured - Civilized - Modern” Capital in the short and long term, contributing to bringing the country into a new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
The core view of the planning is that “people are the center of development”, with the image of Hanoi Capital being shaped: Cultural capital - globally connected, elegant and splendid - harmonious development - peaceful and prosperous - serving government - dedicated businesses - trusting society - happy people.
The plan sets out 5 general development perspectives, in which, developing the Capital is consistent with the country's socio-economic development strategy, with the national master plan and the Red River Delta planning. Arousing the aspiration to develop a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital, green, smart, on par with the capitals of developed countries in the region and the world.
On December 27, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1668/QD-TTg approving the adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065.
The planning defines the urban development structure as a multi-polar, multi-center urban area, with 5 urban areas including: The urban area south of the Red River, including the historical inner city area, the expanded historical inner city area, the urban expansion area to the West and South - Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Ha Dong, Thanh Tri and part of Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin.
One of the main contents of the Plan is the orientation of spatial development for the capital Hanoi with overall space, regional space; orientation of rural development, green space, green corridor, green belt; orientation of landscape architecture - overall urban design; orientation of underground space planning; orientation of land use planning by stages; orientation of socio-economic infrastructure development and orientation of technical infrastructure planning...
