Kinhtedothi - After 2 working days, the question and answer session at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly was a great success, completing all the content, with strong commitments in direction, management and operation.
The question and answer session took place on November 11 and 12. Delegates focused on questioning three groups of issues under the main responsibilities of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Information and Communications.
At the question and answer session, 136 delegates questioned, 18 delegates debated, and 80 delegates registered to speak but were not allowed to speak due to time running out. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Government, reported, explained, and clarified issues under the Government's management responsibility and directly answered questions from National Assembly delegates.
On the afternoon of November 12, in his closing speech at the question and answer session of the 8th Session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the question and answer session at the session showed that the content of the questions met practical requirements, were "correct" and "hit" the issues that voters, the people of the whole country and National Assembly deputies were interested in; continuing to affirm that this is a direct and effective form of supreme supervision of the National Assembly.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, through practical activities, the National Assembly deputies have grasped the situation, carefully studied the reports, raised issues, as well as debated briefly and clearly, with specific questions such as: what is the viewpoint - when will it be implemented - when will it be completed - why is it slow - what is the solution - where is the responsibility. The content of the basic questions is within the scope of questioning and many deputies have been questioned. At the same time, the National Assembly deputies have frankly raised many such issues with the hope that the Government, ministries and branches will continue to have more timely and effective solutions.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man commented that the Ministers and Heads of sectors have shown high responsibility, firmly grasped the functions, tasks and current situation of the sectors and fields under their charge, clearly answered many difficult and complicated issues, frankly, without avoidance, and clarified many issues raised by National Assembly deputies; at the same time, proposed many solutions to overcome limitations in the coming time.
"There is one common point that the Government members mentioned many times in this question and answer session: sincerely thank - seriously accept - take personal responsibility - will be determined to implement - and earnestly hope that agencies and localities will strongly participate with the Government, Ministries and branches. I say this to show that: Ministers and heads of branches always show seriousness, openness and effort in performing their assigned duties" - Chairman Tran Thanh Man commented.
The National Assembly Chairman said that the specific contents have been concluded in 3 question-and-answer sessions for each field. Based on the questions of the National Assembly deputies and the responses of the Government members and heads of sectors, the National Assembly Standing Committee will direct relevant agencies to prepare a draft resolution to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the closing session of this Session.
"The question and answer session was a great success with strong commitments in direction, management and operation; I request that Ministers and heads of sectors, with the spirit of "saying goes hand in hand with doing and doing immediately", promote the achieved results, promptly overcome limitations and difficulties, and have new solutions to more effectively implement the set goals and tasks" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.
