The coastal road project through Cua Tung and Cua Viet bridges was approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 129/NQ-HDND dated December 19, 2023; the Provincial People's Committee approved the feasibility study report in Decision No. 810/QD-UBND dated April 9, 2024.

The project is about 3.16 km long with a total investment of 600 billion VND from the central budget. The project implementation period is from 2024 to 2025. It is expected that the project will use 16.4 hectares of land; about 110 affected households will need to be relocated.
The problem in implementing the project is that in a short time, a large amount of land must be cleared, including a large area of protective forest land, which takes a long time. In addition, the capital source has not been allocated, so it is not possible to carry out appraisal and submit for approval to implement the next steps.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang emphasized that the Provincial People's Council will work with the Provincial People's Committee to make every effort to arrange capital to promptly implement the project. Regarding site clearance, districts need to proactively develop resettlement plans, when calculating compensation support prices, if there are special cases, report to the Provincial People's Committee to promptly handle problems.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien requested that specialized agencies and consulting units accept the opinions of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang and related sectors.
At the same time, he said that the central government's support of capital to implement the above project is a great opportunity for resources in the context of the province's difficult budget, so he suggested that the investor focus on developing a plan, fully preparing procedures, building a planning framework and processes to implement the project.
The provincial People's Committee is ready to support and promptly handle any problems and difficulties during the project implementation process. Regarding expertise, the Department of Transport will be assigned to appraise and ensure capital savings, safety and efficiency when the project is completed and put into use.
