On the morning of October 8, at the Headquarters of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, a conference was held to discuss, dialogue and promote development cooperation between Ninh Binh province and the Working Group of the Netherlands Senior Experts Organization.
Attending the conference were comrade Bui Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Sven Dekker, National Coordinator, Head of the Working Group; leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees, a number of provincial departments and branches.
Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Bui Hoang Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, respectfully thanked the delegation of the Netherlands Senior Experts Organization (PUM) for visiting and working with Ninh Binh province at the invitation of Mr. Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council during his working trip to the Netherlands and working with PUM Organization in May 2024.
Introducing the general history, socio-economic development situation and potentials of Ninh Binh province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: Ninh Binh province has been consistently and effectively implementing the "Green and Sustainable" economic development orientation, taking the preservation and promotion of the values of cultural and historical heritage and the fine traditions of the people of the ancient capital as resources and driving forces for development; prioritizing the development of clean, environmentally friendly industry; organic and circular agricultural production; promoting service development, especially sustainable tourism development. Comprehensively developing culture and society; implementing social security policies well. Ninh Binh is a safe destination, creating trust for tourists and investors.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said: Currently, Ninh Binh is focusing on implementing strategic goals and tasks according to the Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister (in Decision No. 218/QD-TTg dated March 4, 2024), which are: Promoting all potentials, advantages, resources, and motivations to develop Ninh Binh province rapidly and sustainably, basically meeting the criteria by 2030 and by 2035 becoming a centrally-run city with the characteristics of a millennium heritage urban area, a creative city; A large center with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, and heritage economy of the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region; A leading center of the country in modern transport mechanical industry; An innovative startup center of the southern provinces of the Red River Delta. A solid area in terms of national defense and security. Building a strong and clean Party and political system, economic development, prosperous society, and happy people.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hopes that the Dutch Senior Expert Organization will exchange and dialogue to have more information and better understanding of each other, thereby promoting practical cooperation between Ninh Binh province and the Dutch Senior Expert Organization in learning about the investment environment, the ability to support and cooperate in implementing projects, and at the same time introduce the local economic potential and the contents of cooperation and support desired in the coming time.
National Coordinator Sven Dekker expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Ninh Binh. This is the first time he has officially visited Ninh Binh province. Introducing some general features of PUM, Mr. Sven Dekker said: PUM was established by the Dutch Association of Employers and Industry in 1978, with over 2,000 senior experts in many different fields to support and promote entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging markets. PUM's activities focus on a number of key economic sectors such as: Food security; Health and environment; Industry and trade; Services...
Mr. Sven Dekker emphasized that the delegation's visit and work aimed to exchange and share information, through which PUM hopes to support Ninh Binh in developing the areas that the province is in need of. PUM will commit to accompanying and consulting with Ninh Binh in specific projects, ensuring effective cooperation and support.
At the conference, the two sides shared issues such as: Experience in implementing a number of projects that PUM has effectively cooperated with a number of localities in Vietnam; Solutions for managing socio-economic development, especially in the fields of circular economic development and green economy; solutions for preventing and combating climate change, saline intrusion, afforestation, and developing the marine economy in Kim Son district; issues of human resource management and organization, especially vocational training for the tourism industry; experience in wastewater treatment and environmental protection in the process of building Hoa Lu city in the future; support for the development of organic agriculture; beekeeping techniques and management for the future development of this industry...
Organizing exchanges and dialogues between Ninh Binh province and the Netherlands Senior Experts Organization is one of the opportunities to expand cooperation in various fields to contribute to the goal of turning Ninh Binh into a centrally-governed city by 2035 with the characteristics of a millennium heritage city and a creative city.
On this occasion, on behalf of the provincial leaders, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented the delegation with souvenirs, which are typical cultural products of Ninh Binh.
