On August 26, A Dot Border Guard Station (Lam Dot Commune, A Luoi District), Thua Thien Hue Provincial Border Guard coordinated with local authorities and some philanthropists to donate livelihood models to people in the border area.

Donating breeding animals to people to build livelihood models

At the community cultural house of A Tin village, Lam Dot commune, units donated 900 geese, 900 chickens, and 50 breeding pigs, worth nearly 100 million VND, to create a livelihood model for 85 households in especially difficult circumstances in the two border communes of Dong Son and Lam Dot (A Luoi district).

In addition, the units and benefactors also presented 210 gifts worth nearly 80 million VND including textbooks, notebooks, pens, rulers, etc. to disadvantaged students studying at schools in the two communes mentioned above.

Major Vo Xuan Minh, Deputy Political Commissar of A Dot Border Guard Station, said that the donated animals and gifts will support families with livelihood models to develop their economies, while also encouraging disadvantaged students to excel in their studies before the new school year.
