Thua Thien Hue starts construction of 1,300 billion VND apartment complex renovation project
On December 29, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with Dong Da Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to start the project to renovate and rebuild blocks A, B, C of Dong Da apartment complex, Phu Nhuan ward, Hue city.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh said that the project to renovate and rebuild blocks A, B, C of Dong Da apartment complex was started as part of a series of events to announce Hue City under the Central Government. The project is of great significance, being one of the typical projects in the urban development plan, as well as improving the quality of life of the people.

According to Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, the A, B, C blocks of Dong Da Apartment Complex were built from 1977 to the early 1990s. Up to now, the construction has been degraded, with potential risks of insecurity. Reconstruction today is a necessary and timely step. Therefore, the project is implemented to meet the housing fund; serve the needs of on-site resettlement while providing additional housing in accordance with the orientation of the Housing Development Plan and ensuring a balance between the needs of the people and investors; with the highest goal that the resettled households must be better than their old housing in terms of area, quality and living environment.
“This project demonstrates the care and support of local authorities, investors and households living in the apartment complex,” Vice Chairman Hoang Hai Minh emphasized.
Mr. Hoang Hai Minh affirmed that the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province will continue to create the most favorable conditions in terms of law and administration, as well as direct relevant agencies to closely monitor the progress, quality and safety of the project. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee requires investors and contractors to carry out the project on schedule, with quality, aesthetics, ensuring safety, security and efficiency, and fully complying with state regulations on investment and construction management.

The project to renovate and rebuild blocks A, B, C of Dong Da apartment complex is invested by Dong Da Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. The project has a total investment of about 1,300 billion VND, on a construction land area of 8,664 m2. The project has a scale of 3 basements; 25 floors above ground and 669 apartments. The project ensures on-site resettlement for 161 households, with a maximum construction progress of 36 months.
