Losing to Iraq, Indonesia team ranked behind Vietnam

The Indonesian team met Iraq again after only 2 months. The last time, they lost 1-5 and this time the result did not change much.

Iraq dominated with more than 66% possession, 15 shots, 5 of which were on target. These numbers for Indonesia were 34%, 8 and 1.

Iraq opened the scoring early in the 17th minute. An Indonesian player made a mistake, allowing Mohanad Ali to carry the ball straight into the penalty area before defeating goalkeeper Ernando Ari.

In the second half, minute 75, Ayman Hussein took advantage of his body in a dispute with an Indonesian player before finishing, setting the score at 3-1 for the Iraqi team.

With this result, the Indonesian team fell to the bottom of Group D due to being inferior to the Vietnamese team in terms of additional index. The two teams will meet in the next match on January 19.
