Nearly 100 new designs in the Spring-Summer 2025 collection were introduced to fashionistas by two designers from VUNGOC&SON at the Happy Forever show held at Vietnam's first public library, the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library.

As a high-end fashion brand inspired by Asian culture and art, the Vietnamese fashion house cleverly incorporates the aesthetic spirit into the show locations. The previous solo shows of the designer duo always took place in particularly prime locations with rich cultural and traditional values such as Truong Lang (Citadel-Hue), Museum of Art, Ho Chi Minh Museum, City Post Office, Hoi An ancient town, Saigon station... This time, the show stopped at the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, a place with many cultural imprints.
The Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library is one of the oldest libraries in Vietnam with a history of 156 years. It was established in 1868 with its predecessor being the Admirals' Library. After many ups and downs and changes, it was officially named the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library for 46 years, since April 14, 1978.
"The General Science Library has the tranquility of nature and the wisdom of people. The green color of the space here makes me think a lot about human youth, as well as the freshness of knowledge," said designer Vu Ngoc Tu.
Curved staircases, traditional Vietnamese architectural motifs and geometry on concrete panels are the highlights of this location.

The Happiness fashion show is the next show in the Radiant Youth fashion project that the two designers have been working on for the past few years. With a fresh green tone as the main color, the Spring Summer 2025 collection brings a youthful look and an inherent optimism. Nearly 100 designs imbued with the spirit of joie de vivre will be presented, highlighting the exploitation of materials and sophisticated shape processing techniques.
Designs with classic lines and styles are exploited on diverse materials. Besides feminine silk, luxurious brocade, unique organza, the charming lace fabric - the "new star" exploited for the first time in the most recent collection, will also continue to appear in the Spring Summer 2025 collection.
Designer Dinh Truong Tung said: “The cheerful green color is not only a beautiful color to start the new year, but also coincidentally the color of the Christmas season at the end of the year - the time when we perform the show. This color is quite interesting because changing the color also brings different feelings, like diverse emotions.”
The library space was transformed into a runway with many unexpected elements by the crew.

The show will be held on Friday, December 6, which is also the library's weekly day off. Therefore, the runway of the Happiness show will not affect readers and the library's regular activities. "However, this also brings challenges when the crew only has more than 24 hours to turn this space into a unique runway," said catwalk director Thanh Truc Truong, who has been associated with the Vietnamese fashion house's shows for many years.
