WEF is a non-profit organization operating in the form of public-private partnership, founded by Professor Klaus Schwab in 1971, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. WEF currently has about 700 partners who are leaders of the world's leading corporations in various fields.

The most important event of WEF is the Annual Meeting held in January in Davos, Switzerland. In addition, there are regional forums: WEF Tianjin (or Dalian, China), WEF ASEAN... WEF events attract the participation of the world's leading political, business, cultural, social, research - academic leaders... to shape the agenda at the regional and global levels.

Since Vietnam and WEF established relations in 1989, the cooperation between Vietnam and WEF has been promoted and developed in many fields by leaders of both sides. Government leaders regularly attend the WEF Davos Conferences, as well as regional conferences on East Asia and ASEAN.

Vietnam and Hungary have a 74-year history of friendly relations and good traditional cooperation in many fields such as education and training, law and justice, culture, sports, and people-to-people exchange. Hungary considers Vietnam an important partner in the Southeast Asian region.

The two countries became Comprehensive Partners in September 2018 through the official visit to Hungary by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and have potential in many areas such as trade - investment, agriculture, health, tourism, labor, etc.

Romania is a traditional friend, has good friendship and cooperation with Vietnam, and was one of the first 10 countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1950. The two sides have exchanged many high-level delegations.

In the period 2019 - 2022, bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Romania increased 1.66 times from 261 million USD to 425 million USD. This number will continue to increase because the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Romania is still promising. The two sides can expand cooperation in the fields of agricultural products, seafood, footwear; training in some strategic sectors such as: construction industry, agriculture, medicine, etc.
