On the morning of January 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left Hanoi to attend the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (WEF Davos 2024), and pay official visits to Hungary and Romania.

The WEF Davos 2024 conference takes place from January 15-19 with the theme "Rebuilding Trust". Vietnam is one of nine partners proposed by WEF to coordinate in organizing a National Strategic Dialogue with WEF and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of eight leaders of countries having a separate dialogue with WEF.
Nearly 100 senior leaders of countries and international organizations, and about 3,000 leaders of global corporations and businesses attended the conference.
After attending the WEF Davos 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay official visits to Hungary and Romania. This is the first delegation exchange at the Prime Minister level between Vietnam and Hungary in the past 7 years and with Romania in the past 5 years.
The visits aim to further increase political trust, strengthen and revive the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary and Romania; promote and bring traditional cooperation areas to a new stage; promote cooperation in potential and strong areas and further tighten the friendship between the Vietnamese people and the people of the two countries.
