Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang to officially visit Vietnam

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Li Qiang before the talks on the occasion of the Vietnamese Government leader's visit to attend the Dalian World Economic Forum and work in China.

On October 8, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Premier Li Qiang will pay an official visit to Vietnam from October 12 to 14, 2024.

This is the first official visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Vietnam in this position. The last time a Chinese Premier officially visited our country was in October 2013, when Li Keqiang visited Vietnam.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang's visit to Vietnam took place after General Secretary and President To Lam paid a state visit to China from August 18 to 20, 2024.

After more than 30 years of normalization, especially more than 15 years since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership framework in 2008, Vietnam-China relations have made rapid and increasingly profound and comprehensive progress in all fields.

After the historic official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in October 2022 and the third State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping in December 2023, the two sides agreed to continue to deepen and further enhance the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, build a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more", opening a new chapter for bilateral relations.
