On the morning of February 15, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Ministers attended the New Year meeting with officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Government Office, and at the same time deployed key tasks right from the first working day after the Tet holiday of the Government Office.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended, appreciated and thanked the Government Office for its important efforts and contributions to the country's overall results and achievements in 2023.

According to the head of the Government, 2024 may be brighter and more promising than 2023, but difficulties and challenges still outweigh opportunities and advantages.
He emphasized the need to not be subjective, negligent, or lose vigilance with the situation with the spirit of "having made a determination, one must be more determined, having made an effort, one must try harder, having tried, one must try harder", striving to achieve better results in 2024 than in 2023, as advised by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Emphasizing the need to identify 2024 as the year of acceleration and 2025 as the year of breakthrough to achieve the goals of the entire term, the Prime Minister emphasized 6 groups of tasks with the hope that the Government Office will do even better in 2024 and the coming time.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested to immediately get to work, review the work to urge, resolve according to authority or advise competent authorities to consider and decide.

The Government Office is also assigned to effectively advise on the work programs of the Government, the Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Ministers; to grasp the situation and developments at home and abroad related to the two strategic tasks of building and defending the Fatherland.
In addition, the Prime Minister directed to promote administrative procedure reform, reduce inconvenience and compliance costs for people, promote production and business, create jobs and livelihoods for people; proactively and actively coordinate closely, smoothly, effectively and comprehensively with ministries, branches and localities.
The Prime Minister noted that the consultation must always clearly express opinions and go straight to the point so that the Government leaders can decide. "When consulting with ministries and branches, if there are still different opinions, the Government Office will advise the Government leaders to immediately convene a meeting with the leaders of relevant agencies and units to resolve the issue, avoiding the situation of sending documents back and forth many times," as requested by the head of the Government.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that the Prime Minister's congratulations, advice and instructions are a strong driving force, a great source of encouragement and an extremely important orientation for the direction and implementation of tasks of the Government Office in 2024.
Minister Tran Van Son said that from the beginning of 2024, the Government Office has thoroughly grasped the Government's motto of action: "Discipline, responsibility; proactiveness, timeliness; accelerated innovation; sustainable efficiency".
The Minister affirmed that in all circumstances, whether in favorable or difficult times, the Government Office always strives, always adheres to the Government's guiding and operating principles, always thoroughly grasps the Prime Minister's guiding spirit, the more difficult it is, the more determined it must be, correctly identify responsibilities, and strive with the highest spirit to be worthy of the trust of the Government leaders.
