Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife attend the Spring Homeland program in Poland

According to the special correspondent of VNA, during the official visit to the Republic of Poland, on the evening of January 17, local time, in the capital Warsaw, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife attended the program "Spring Homeland At Ty 2025", sharing joy with the Vietnamese community in Poland.

Also attending were Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; leaders of ministries, departments, branches, and central agencies; especially nearly 300 representatives of overseas Vietnamese living, working, and studying in Poland. On the Polish side, there were Minister of Science and Higher Education Marcin Kulacek; Deputy Minister of National Defense, Deputy Minister of Digitalization, leaders of Warsaw City; leaders of the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Association. Very early, the large hall of the Warsaw Presidential Hotel - where the program "Spring Homeland At Ty 2025" was held, the young and old, men and women were dressed up, talking and laughing. Vietnamese people from all regions of Poland gathered here to enjoy the atmosphere of Tet reunion, connect the community, as well as strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Poland. The performances, which were composed and performed by the people themselves, although not really professional, but together with typical Vietnamese Tet dishes such as banh chung, gio lua, etc., helped everyone enjoy the atmosphere of Vietnamese Tet right in a foreign land. This is a source of encouragement for the community of nearly 30,000 Vietnamese people in Poland to continue to strive to rise up, integrate into the local society, contribute to the development and prosperity of Poland, as well as foster the Vietnam - Poland relationship and look towards the homeland.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese in Poland, on behalf of the Vietnamese community in Poland, expressed his joy and honor to welcome the Prime Minister and his wife to attend and wish the community a Happy New Year; said that the Vietnamese community in Poland is always proud to be children of Vietnam, although living far from home, they are always attached, united and preserve the national identity. They are not only a cultural bridge between Vietnam and Poland, but also contribute to building the image of a united community, rich in identity and strongly integrated with the host society. Reporting to the Prime Minister on the achievements in Vietnam - Poland relations in 2024, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai emphasized that these achievements have a significant contribution from the Vietnamese community in Poland, each of whom is always a strong bridge between the two nations. The Ambassador said that in 2025, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland will continue to be a strong bridge between the community and the homeland, and together with the people will organize more meaningful activities, creating more favorable conditions for the people to integrate deeply into the host society, while preserving national identity, turning towards the homeland, accompanying the country towards a new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise. In the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the Year of the Dragon, when in all regions of the beloved Vietnam as well as in the Vietnamese community across the world, the descendants of Lac and the Dragon are eagerly preparing for the Tet holiday, gathering with their families to welcome the New Year of At Ty 2025, speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion and thanked the people for giving him and the delegation an unforgettable memory in their lives - celebrating Vietnamese Tet in the homeland of Frederick Chopin, Maria Curie, Nicolaus Copernicus.

Informing that this working trip to Poland carries the message of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland, promoting the early elevation of the relationship between the two countries to a strategic level, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh informed the community of the main content of the results of the talks and meetings between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the Senate of Poland. In particular, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked and requested the Polish Government to continue to facilitate the Vietnamese community in Poland to integrate more deeply into the host society, making positive contributions to the development of Poland as well as the traditional friendship between the two countries; promptly recognizing the Vietnamese community in Poland as a Polish ethnic minority, being treated and having the same rights and obligations as other ethnic groups in Poland.
Acknowledging the growth and contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland to the development of the host country and fostering the increasingly deep, substantial and effective Vietnam - Poland relationship, the Prime Minister wished the Vietnamese community in Poland to be united and self-reliant, especially in times of difficulty and adversity; to integrate more deeply, more widely, more comprehensively and more effectively into the host society; to make positive and effective contributions to fostering the Vietnam - Poland relationship to be forever green and everlasting, for the benefit of the two nations, two countries and peoples, contributing to peace, friendship, cooperation and development in the region and the world. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wished the Vietnamese community in Poland and Polish friends a happy, peaceful, prosperous, healthy and successful new year; to feel and share each other's feelings and cultural understanding to build the Vietnamese community to have an increasingly important position and role in Polish society. * At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the Third Class Labor Medal of the Party and State to the Association of Vietnamese People in Poland for its outstanding achievements in the overseas Vietnamese community.
