On the morning of January 16 (local time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, to begin a working trip to attend the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (WEF Davos 2024).
At the airport to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation were Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Phung The Long and his wife; Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva Le Thi Tuyet Mai; officials of the Embassy, the Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva and Vietnamese expatriates in Switzerland.

During the working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to chair, attend and speak at events within the framework of the WEF Davos 2024 Conference such as: Seminar on attracting investment in the semiconductor sector; Vietnam - WEF National Strategy Dialogue; Policy Dialogue "Vietnam - Global Vision Orientation"; Seminar on promoting new growth drivers in Vietnam; discussion session "Promoting the role of global cooperation in ASEAN".
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and Executive Chairman of WEF; had bilateral meetings with leaders of countries, international organizations and WEF enterprises; attended and spoke at the Seminar on Switzerland’s experience and model of developing an international financial center; and received leaders of leading Swiss corporations and enterprises.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation in the WEF Davos 2024 with a series of activities demonstrates Vietnam's proactive, active and responsible contributions to the conference. Through this, international friends will better understand Vietnam's potential, cooperation opportunities, role and international position in order to attract maximum resources for national development; at the same time, promote cooperation with Switzerland, especially in the field of finance and banking.
