Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife arrive at Zurich airport, Switzerland, starting a working trip to attend WEF Davos 2024
At the airport to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation were Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Phung The Long; Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva Le Thi Tuyet Mai; officials of the Embassy, the Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva and Vietnamese expatriates in Switzerland.
During this working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to chair, attend and speak at events within the framework of the WEF Davos 2024 Conference such as: Seminar on development cooperation in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence and automobiles; Vietnam - WEF National Strategy Dialogue; Policy Dialogue "Vietnam - Global Vision Orientation"; Seminar on promoting new growth drivers in Vietnam; discussion session "Promoting the role of global cooperation in ASEAN".
Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Phung The Long; Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva Le Thi Tuyet Mai welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife.
Today, he is expected to have up to 12 activities at WEF, the most important of which is chairing the Vietnam - WEF National Strategy Dialogue.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will also meet Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and Executive Chairman of WEF; and have bilateral meetings with leaders of countries, international organizations and WEF businesses.
With a packed schedule in two days in Davos and discussions, strategic dialogues and meetings at all levels, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation shows that Vietnam is not only interested in national development issues but also wishes to contribute its voice and solutions to regional and global issues.
It is an approach that both grasps the major trends and the situation, the direction of movement of the world's geopolitical and economic situation and contributes ideas to global and regional issues associated with promoting Vietnam's security and development interests. Because in today's world, it is difficult for any country to stand alone, develop alone or solve challenges without taking into account the difficulties of other countries as well as their roles and voices.
