The Prime Minister recalled President Ho Chi Minh's official visit to Romania in 1957 to thank Romania and Central Eastern European countries for helping Vietnam during the years of resistance. "The outstanding impression is that President Ho Chi Minh was warmly and sincerely welcomed by the Party, State and people of Romania. His car passed through the Victory Gate. He spoke to the people of Bucharest at the packed national stadium," the Prime Minister recalled, adding that former Romanian President Ion Iliesscu, then Secretary of the Central Committee of the Romanian Youth Union, accompanied Uncle Ho throughout the visit.Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh speaks about the relationship between Vietnam and Romania (Photo: Hoai Vu).
