Also attending were Politburo members: Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.

Participating in the parade were 25 units of the Army, militia and self-defense force, and 17 units of the Police; the total number included more than 13,000 people from all branches and services of the Vietnam People's Army, the People's Police and militia and self-defense force.

* In Bien Hoa city, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation witnessed the military and militia groups practicing the parade, ensuring the correct, regular, and unified march, demonstrating the strength of the armed forces. The groups stood well in the formation, ensuring beauty, solemnity, and unity.

Speaking to encourage the military and militia forces who are practicing to participate in the parade, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that a year ago, he witnessed an impressive parade, which revived the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

After listening to the report on the results of the organization of training, group training, combined training for the parade, the Prime Minister was moved to know that the comrades had undergone nearly 5 months of extremely hard, persistent and tenacious training; carrying out the march along the length of the country from North to South by train ensuring absolute safety.

The forces have overcome many difficulties in terms of accommodation and living conditions; harsh climate and weather; very high training intensity; having to be away from family for long periods of time; especially for female officers and soldiers, the difficulties are multiplied. However, everyone always clearly identifies their responsibilities, upholds their determination, solidarity, strives, and competes to perform well the assigned tasks.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense for their close leadership and direction of this parade. The Parade Subcommittee effectively directed the selection and training of the parade and marching forces and ensured the services, regimes, and standards for the participating components in performing the tasks.

The organization, command, management and operation work is tight, ensuring that from top to bottom, operations are smooth, unified and effective, in the conditions of a large number of troops, weapons, equipment and vehicles being mobilized to participate in the task. Communication work on events, training activities, joint training and combined training of forces in parades and marches is also directed effectively.

“Our people are looking forward to reliving the joyful and proud atmosphere of the April days 50 years ago through the celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30; at the same time witnessing the growth and maturity of the Army, Police, militia, and armed forces of Vietnam; being proud of the years of heroic and resilient resistance and national construction, with sacrifices and losses but full of pride and honor,” said the Prime Minister.

Acknowledging, appreciating and warmly praising the sense of responsibility and efforts of the forces in the recent past, the Prime Minister said that in just a few days, the forces will carry out their official duties in the celebration on April 30. Taking heroic and majestic steps on the country's great holiday is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility.

To successfully carry out the task of marching and parading, the Prime Minister requested the forces to carry out the spirit of "five firsts": the most thorough preparation; the best spirit; the most beautiful movements; the closest and most effective coordination; and the most thoughtful logistics. The Prime Minister believes that the marching and parading forces will excellently complete their tasks on the great national holiday; demonstrating the spirit of patriotism and gratitude to the previous generations, especially those who have devoted and sacrificed to protect the Fatherland.

* On the same afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, inspected and encouraged the police force training at the Training and Professional Training Center No. 2, Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.

Here, the People's Public Security forces participating in the parade and marching performed in formation; demonstrating the maturity and strength of the People's Public Security Forces; upholding the spirit of national pride, affirming the determination to excellently complete assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress; welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party; the whole country entering the era of national growth, prosperity, and civilization.

Visiting and encouraging officers and soldiers, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a national celebration program in a series of important historical and political events of the country in 2025.

In particular, the parade and marching activities have a particularly important meaning, aiming to affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of the great victory of Spring 1975. With such important political and historical significance, the officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security force participating in the parade and marching in the celebration are the embodiment of the strength and spirit of determination to fight and win of the people's armed forces.

The Prime Minister commended the efforts, endeavors, and determination of the leadership team, commanders, managers, and nearly 4,000 officers, soldiers, and students representing the entire People's Public Security force who actively practiced at high intensity, with the spirit of "overcoming the sun and rain, practicing enthusiastically".

In the hot and harsh weather conditions, the male officers and soldiers had a very hard time, the female soldiers had even more hardships and difficulties. But with great determination, the comrades "trained their steps, forged their will, thousands of people as one", leaving behind beautiful and impressive images, demonstrating the spirit of discipline, the bravery of soldiers, the growth and maturity of the revolutionary armed forces.

To successfully complete the task and contribute to the overall success of the celebration, the Prime Minister requested that each officer and soldier identify this as a particularly important political task, as well as the glory and responsibility of the People's Public Security Force. Comrades need to concentrate with the spirit of "most urgent; most serious; most determined", solidarity, unanimity, close coordination, and excellently complete the assigned tasks, demonstrating the strength of the revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern armed forces.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Public Security to proactively coordinate closely with the Ministry of National Defense, ministries, branches, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and relevant localities in commanding, directing and operating forces participating in the parade and march at the anniversary to ensure compliance with the program and script; at the same time, deploy plans to ensure absolute security and safety for activities at the anniversary.

The Ministry of Public Security continues to do well in political and ideological work, taking care of the cultural and spiritual life, and policies for officers and soldiers participating in parades, marching, staff and service officers; promptly encouraging and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing assigned tasks.

Emphasizing that the people of the whole country are eagerly awaiting this parade, the Prime Minister believes that the People's Public Security force will excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, together with the Ministry of National Defense, making the overall success of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
