Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation in WEF Davos 2024 with a series of activities demonstrates Vietnam's proactive, positive, and responsible contributions to the conference.

On the morning of January 16 (Swiss time, the same afternoon Vietnam time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Zurich, starting a working trip to attend the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (WEF Davos 2024). Although it was past 7am, it was still dark in Zurich. In the cold of minus 3 degrees Celsius, at the airport to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation were Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Phung The Long and his wife, Vietnamese Ambassador to Geneva Le Thi Tuyet Mai and officials from the embassy, the Vietnamese delegation in Geneva and Vietnamese expatriates in Switzerland. During the working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to chair, attend and speak at events within the framework of WEF Davos 2024 such as: Seminar on attracting investment in the semiconductor sector, Vietnam - WEF National Strategy Dialogue, Policy Dialogue "Vietnam - Global Vision Orientation", Seminar on promoting new growth drivers in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister will also attend the discussion session "Promoting the role of global cooperation in ASEAN". During his stay in Davos, the Prime Minister will also meet Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF, and have bilateral meetings with leaders of countries, international organizations, and WEF enterprises. The Head of Government will also attend and speak at a seminar on Switzerland's experience and model of developing an international financial center, and receive leaders of leading Swiss corporations and enterprises.
