Accordingly, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung is responsible for leading and comprehensively managing all activities within the functions, tasks and powers of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Minister directly directs and manages the organization and personnel work; internal political protection; legal work and other tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister; and directly directs the Department of Organization and Personnel.

Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long assists the Minister in the following areas: application of information technology, digital transformation, digital economy, digital society, electronic transactions; radio, television and electronic information; digital content; network information security; telecommunications, Internet; radio frequencies. Mr. Pham Duc Long is in charge of the following tasks: Party and mass organizations; innovation in organization and management, restructuring, equitization of state-owned enterprises, investment, corporate finance and operations of enterprises under the Ministry; flood and storm prevention and control, and natural disaster mitigation.
