Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Hong Thai appointed Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee

Accordingly, Mr. Tran Hong Thai ceased to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Tran Hong Thai (50 years old, from Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province), graduated from university in Russia, defended his PhD thesis in Earth Sciences and Mathematics at Heidelberg University (Germany).

Before being appointed as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Tran Hong Thai worked at the Institute of Hydrometeorology, then was transferred to become Deputy General Director of the National Center for Hydrometeorology; Deputy General Director and then General Director of the General Department of Hydrometeorology.

In 2023, Mr. Tran Hong Thai was transferred and appointed as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
