Mr. Giao Quoc Thang - Principal of Van Phong Secondary School (Dien Chau District, Nghe An) said that the school is continuing to coordinate with Dien Phong Commune Police to verify and clarify the cause of the previous scuffle on October 19 between two teachers at the school. After 10 days of the incident, due to unstable health, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ng. is taking a leave of absence from teaching and staying at home.

"The school has received a report of the incident from Mr. N. In the report, Mr. N. stated that he was beaten by Ms. Ng. Mr. N. did not beat him. There was a conflict between the two before but it was resolved. The incident happened, now one person accuses the other of beating him, but there are no photos or evidence, so now they are waiting for the police to verify and investigate to clarify the matter," said Mr. Giao Quoc Thang, adding that the school wants to meet each person to find out the incident and then meet both of them together. However, because Ms. Ng. asked for leave, the school has not been able to meet to verify the incident.

The principal of Van Phong Secondary School added that during Ms. Ng's leave, the school arranged for another teacher to take her place to ensure teaching and learning. Ms. Ng is only allowed to take leave during the prescribed time. If she exceeds the leave, disciplinary action will be taken according to the law.

As previously reported, on the morning of Saturday, October 19, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ng. (45 years old, History teacher) and Mr. Pham Van N. (Informatics teacher) had a collision and scuffle in the library equipment room of Van Phong Secondary School (Dien Chau district, Nghe An).

After the incident, Ms. Ng. went to Nghe An General Hospital 115 to be examined and treated for the injuries on her body. Mr. N. also reported pain in several places on his body.

After the incident, both teachers filed a complaint against each other. Upon receiving the complaint, Dien Phong Commune Police accepted the complaint and investigated to clarify the matter.

Mr. Mai Ngoc Long - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district said: The Department has sent a working group to Van Phong Secondary School to verify and assign the school to investigate, clarify the incident and then proceed to handle it according to regulations.
