This morning, November 27, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a regular in-person and online information conference for retired officials under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in Dong Ha City, Vinh Linh District and Quang Tri Town with nearly 400 delegates attending.

At the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam informed about the content of the visit and work of General Secretary and President To Lam in Quang Tri. Accordingly, on October 15-16, General Secretary and President To Lam, together with Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang; Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang; Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Party Central Committee members, leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and economic groups visited and worked in Quang Tri.
On October 28, 2024, the Central Party Office issued Notice No. 101 on the results of the visit and work of General Secretary and President To Lam in Quang Tri province. General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that Quang Tri has many heroic and talented people, cultural celebrities, and indomitable revolutionary soldiers; has many potentials and advantages for development, including a convenient transport infrastructure system connecting North - South, East - West, great advantages in attracting investment; has abundant clean energy sources, green energy sources, and large potential for renewable energy development; there is still a large area of unused land, making it difficult to develop agriculture but an advantage for industrial development.
Quang Tri has a tradition of studiousness and good learning, combined with a long-term and systematic training strategy, Quang Tri will certainly have many high-quality human resources to meet development requirements.
The Party Central Committee of the Government directed the Government, ministries, departments and central branches to study and support Quang Tri province to remove bottlenecks and difficulties to continue development. Priority should be given to helping the province exploit the East-West Economic Corridor, expand development space to the West according to Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo, complete National Highway 15D connecting My Thuy seaport, Hai Lang district to La Lay international border gate, Dakrong district; have an investment plan to build the Cam Lo - Lao Bao expressway.
Research and supplement the planning for the development of wind power, solar power, offshore wind power and LNG power projects and the reception of electricity from Laos. Research and build the National Museum of War Memories and Aspiration for Peace.
General Secretary and President To Lam requested Quang Tri province to focus on doing well the work of Party building, building a clean and strong political system in all aspects. Focus on directing the preparation work for Party congresses at all levels and the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, make more efforts in improving the investment and business environment, administrative reform, and attracting investment. Focus on investing in education, health care, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Continue to do better in gratitude and social security for policy families and families with meritorious services to the revolution.
The Central Party Office advised the Politburo and the Secretariat on the proposal to build a Socio-Economic Development Project for Quang Tri in conjunction with strengthening cooperation with Lao provinces; the Project to develop Con Co island district to be strong in economy and stable in national defense and security. Early pilot implementation of the model of the Lao Bao - Densavan cross-border economic and trade zone; on personnel work; support for the construction of the new Le Duan Political School.
On November 15, 2024, the Government Office issued Official Dispatch No. 8386 notifying the handling of the proposal of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee at the working session of General Secretary and President To Lam.
Notice 101 of the Central Party Office and Official Dispatch No. 8386 of the Government Office both provide strategic orientation and handle specific, comprehensive issues for Quang Tri province in its development. These are special mechanisms for Quang Tri province to attract large domestic and foreign enterprises to research and invest in the province.
During the visit and working session in Quang Tri, General Secretary and President To Lam and his delegation offered incense at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, General Secretary Le Duan Memorial House, National Martyrs' Cemetery Road 9, Truong Son; visited cadres, armed forces and people of Con Co island district; worked with the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee; met and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, and typical policy families of the province...
