Passing the resolution regulating the Medal "For the Cause of the National Assembly of Vietnam"

On the afternoon of February 5, at the National Assembly House, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a meeting to consider a number of contents under its authority.

Under the direction of Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Resolution regulating the Medal "For the cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly" and the draft Resolution regulating emulation and rewards for National Assembly deputies, agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee and officials and civil servants under the management authority of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Opinions at the meeting expressed high consensus with the two draft resolutions; highly appreciated the drafting agency and the reviewing agency for their close and urgent coordination, collecting opinions in many rounds and layers, especially opinions from those directly affected, fully absorbing opinions from the National Assembly Party Delegation, opinions from the National Assembly Standing Committee, relevant agencies, completing the draft resolution, and submitting it to the National Assembly Standing Committee at this meeting. Opinions also contributed additional ideas to complete the draft resolution, such as clarifying in which cases commemorative medals can be replaced (specific cases should be clearly defined, for example, damaged or defective commemorative medals)...

Concluding this content, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man requested the Delegation Work Committee (the agency in charge of drafting) to closely coordinate with the Social Committee (the agency in charge of reviewing) and the Law Committee to fully absorb the opinions of the National Assembly Standing Committee at this session, and at the same time carefully review the legislative techniques.

After the resolution is issued, the Delegation Work Committee urgently issues a document guiding the competent authority to recognize and confirm initiatives, solutions, and scientific works that are effective and have a scope of influence on agencies, organizations, and individuals, complete the procedures and records for emulation and rewards, promptly advise and guide the implementation of considering and awarding emulation titles and higher forms of rewards to National Assembly deputies in 2024; at the same time, continue to research and propose appropriate forms of rewards for National Assembly deputies working full-time at the Central level who have served as National Assembly deputies for one term or more, continue to advise the National Assembly Standing Committee to specify and have grounds through considering and deciding on cases receiving certificates of merit from the National Assembly Standing Committee to ensure transparency and compliance with the provisions of law on emulation and rewards.

At the meeting, 100% of the members of the National Assembly Standing Committee present at the meeting voted to pass the Resolution regulating the Medal "For the cause of the National Assembly of Vietnam" and the Resolution regulating emulation and rewards for National Assembly deputies, agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee and officials and civil servants under the management authority of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
