Agree on the location and route plan for the construction of the 500kV Ninh Son transformer station connecting to the Bac Ai pumped storage hydropower project.

On November 8, comrade Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session to listen to a report on the construction site of the 500 kV Ninh Son transformer station and the direction of the connecting line to the Bac Ai pumped-storage hydropower project.

At the meeting, the project investor and the consulting unit Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 presented and proposed 4 options for the transmission line and the location of the transformer station, analyzing the advantages, benefits and difficulties of each option. Through analysis and evaluation, the relevant sectors and localities agreed to choose option 1: Construction of the 500kV Ninh Son transformer station on about 25 hectares, located on the land where annual crops are grown in the Song Dau 2-Suoi May 3 area, Thach Ha 2 village, Quang Son commune (Ninh Son). This is a location suitable for the land use planning for the period 2021-2030 and the local socio-economic development plans; the land area of the surveyed area is mostly in the energy land planning. Accordingly, the 500kV transmission line with 4 circuits runs parallel above and shares the same pole with the 220kV line below. The project has a total cost of about 4,001 billion VND and will be implemented in the 2026-2030 period.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the consulting unit and the investor to implement the plan that has been discussed and agreed upon by the province and relevant local departments. This plan has also been included in the provincial planning as well as the approved land use planning and plan, so it must be legally strict, have a basis, and be feasible for site clearance, not affecting infrastructure works, production, and ensuring the welfare of people whose projects pass through.
