From now until May 17, the Central Highlands and the South will have sunny days, with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. On May 18-19, these areas will have intermittent sunshine during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain.
Hanoi tomorrow will have little rain; May 15-16 will be sunny, hot in the afternoon. From May 17-19, the capital will have localized heat.
Explaining the 'record' heat, each 'volcano' lasts 5-7 days
The peak of the heat wave is forecasted to be in June-July in the North, and June-August in the Central region. Each heat wave lasts longer, with 5-7 days. Notably, due to El Nino, the number and intensity of storms this year will be less.

On May 7, in Tuong Duong (Nghe An), the highest temperature measured was 44.2 degrees, surpassing yesterday's new record of 44.1 degrees in Hoi Xuan (Thanh Hoa).
