With the theme "Enjoy Italian cuisine: sublime flavors with healthy ingredients ", the 8th Italian Cuisine Week in Vietnam not only brings the public the opportunity to experience healthy and authentic Italian dishes, but also the opportunity to explore the rich culinary culture, along with the connection of products from Italy with friendliness, hospitality and healthy nutrition.
The 8th Italian Gastronomy Week opens with the theme "Enjoy Italian Cuisine: Sublime Flavors with Healthy Ingredients"
Vietnam and Italy - 2 countries with similar cuisines
The two colorful cuisines of Vietnam and Italy have contributed to the world rich culinary flavors. More important than the recipes are the similarities in the healthiness of the diet and the way of preparing the dishes. "With the similarity with Vietnam in the regular use of fresh vegetables as well as the way of maintaining a balanced nutrition in the daily diet, I hope that the upcoming week will be welcomed by many Vietnamese friends", Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Marco della Seta shared at a press conference held on November 13.
The message of this year's week focuses on the similarities in healthy nutrition between Italy and Vietnam.
A highlight event of this year's culinary week is the seminar on fermented foods: "Decoding the never-before-mentioned effects of fermented foods in daily life". If Vietnam has fish sauce, Italy has cheese... Both are ingredients that possess the characteristic flavors of the two countries' cuisines, and both are achieved through the fermentation process of microorganisms. Fermentation can be considered one of the first processing methods applied by humans to preserve food.
In addition to interesting information, the conference also attracted a large audience with rich knowledge shared by professors in the food technology industry and culinary experts in Vietnam and internationally.
The public is excited to learn about fermented foods.

Therefore, this year's gastronomy week offers the public the opportunity to explore the development of Italian cuisine through the exhibition "Taste! Italians and Cuisine 1970-2050" - "The joy of cooking, taking care of yourself and others at the table is a culture".
The exhibition focuses not only on food and cooking methods, but also gives visitors a panoramic view of agriculture, livestock, food diversity, environmental and health challenges in the culinary industry, and many other interesting perspectives revolving around the theme of Italian cuisine and culture. "The Taste of Italy is not just about food, but about life, love, and the spirit of sharing. We want to bring a wonderful experience, not only for the senses but also for the hearts and souls of everyone", shared by Massimo Montanari and Laura Lazzaroni, co-curators of the Exhibition.
