After missing the most recent World Cup billiards tournament in Seoul, South Korea in November, Frederic Caudron returned to the tournament held in Egypt. On the afternoon of December 4, Caudron played in the fourth (final) qualifying round of the 2024 Sharm el Sheikh World Cup. The Belgian player's opponent was Gwendal Marechal (France).

In the match at the same time as Frederic Caudron, Nguyen Chi Long was the first Vietnamese player to take the field in the 4th qualifying round. Accordingly, Chi Long faced Rui Manuel Costa (Portugal). The Vietnamese player also played excellently to win the overall victory in his opening match.
