The Porto 2024 Carom Billiards World Cup 3-Cushion starts on the afternoon of July 7 (Vietnam time) in Portugal. Notably, the world's top player - Frederic Caudron also participated in the first qualifying round. The player nicknamed genius is in Group F with Ercan Aydin and Nalle Olsson.
With his class, the Belgian player easily passed the first qualifying round with a perfect record. The 3-cushion billiards star born in 1968 had an impressive debut at the 2024 Porto 3-cushion billiards World Cup, with convincing victories. Caudron defeated Ercan Aydin 30-8 after 12 rounds, and defeated Nalle Olsson 30-10 after 11 rounds. The Belgian player's highest series scores were 11, 9 and 8 respectively.

Meanwhile, the only Vietnamese player competing in the first qualifying round of the 2024 Porto 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup, Nguyen Dinh Luan, was eliminated early. In the second qualifying round, no Vietnamese player participated.
