The town disciplined a principal but the province requested to cancel the decision, why?

The leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province requested the People's Committee of Ba Don town to cancel the disciplinary decision against the principal of Quang Tho secondary school. The form of discipline must be reconsidered.

On December 25, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province confirmed that Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had just sent a document requesting the Ba Don town government to cancel the disciplinary decision against Mr. Truong Dinh Le - Principal of Quang Tho Secondary School.

This document also requires the People's Committee of Ba Don town to review Mr. Le according to the nature and level of the shortcomings.

This document was signed after the working session of the verification team of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province with the admission council of grade 6 of Quang Tho Secondary School.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province determined that there were new circumstances showing that Mr. Le did not violate the provisions of the law on collection, payment, and use of fees and charges as instructed by the Department ofEducation and Training of the town as alleged by the People's Committee of Ba Don town in the disciplinary decision.

Specifically, Mr. Le directed the temporary collection of 50,000 VND/student during the enrollment period, leading to public misunderstanding that the school collected an enrollment fee for grade 6 in the 2023-2024 school year.

When working with the verification team, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don town has not provided documents related to this revenue to clarify the nature of the incident.

However, the verification team of the Provincial People's Committee also determined that Mr. Le had shortcomings in organizing review classes to supplement knowledge for 6th grade students during the summer vacation (2 sessions, free of charge), which was not strictly implemented according to regulations and agreed to the proposal of the Executive Committee of the school's parents' association for the 2023-2024 school year.

Previously, the People's Committee of Ba Don town issued a disciplinary decision to reprimand Mr. Le. The reason was that Mr. Le did not seriously implement the official dispatch of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Don town on the guidance for admission to grade 6 for the 2023-2024 school year.

This document absolutely requires that admission fees not be collected, but Mr. Le directed the admissions council to collect 50,000 VND/student.

In addition, the Town People's Committee concluded that Quang Tho Secondary School arbitrarily organized teaching of 3 subjects Math, Literature, English in the form of review classes, to supplement knowledge for 6th grade students during the summer vacation. The time was only 2 sessions and no fee was collected. However, this was a violation of the direction and guidance of the Town Department of Education and Training.
