World gold price today February 13, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,902.76 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is unchanged compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,606 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 89.6 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 600,000 VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices steadied on Wednesday, boosted by safe-haven demand amid concerns about a global trade war sparked by U.S. President Donald Trump's new tariffs as markets digested higher-than-expected U.S. inflation data, Reuters reported.
Spot gold was steady at $2,895.30 an ounce as of 2:39 p.m. ET (1939 GMT). U.S. gold futures fell 0.1% to $2,928.70.
Gold prices fell more than 1% after data showed U.S. consumer prices rose 0.5% last month, more than expected, reinforcing the Federal Reserve's message that it is in no rush to cut interest rates again amid growing economic uncertainty.
"With the CPI data coming in higher than expected today, that's put pressure on the gold market. Obviously at this point, any expectations the market had for any kind of rate cut later this year have been extinguished," said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Higher interest rates tend to put pressure on bullion, increasing the opportunity cost since bullion does not pay interest.
While “the higher interest rate story has put a little pressure on gold, the trend remains positive and trade concerns continue to dominate the market,” said Peter Grant, vice president and senior metals strategist at Zaner Metals.
After raising tariffs on steel and aluminum to 25% earlier this week, US President Donald Trump's advisers are now finalizing plans to impose reciprocal tariffs.
Gold prices have entered uncharted territory as buyers latch onto economic uncertainty created by US import tariffs, but behind the record $3,000 an ounce, some signs of a bearish trend are also emerging.
Daniel Pavilonis, senior market strategist at RJO Futures, said that despite the small sell-off, even a drop of a few hundred dollars from near $3,000 is not a disaster. He added that people still want to invest in gold with concerns about inflation, debt and geopolitics.
Spot silver rose 1.1% to $32.17 an ounce and palladium fell 0.2% to $973.74, while platinum rose 0.6% to $989.43.
