Cam Lo Town celebrates 30th anniversary of its establishment and receives the Government's Emulation Flag

Tonight, July 31, Cam Lo town, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its founding on August 1 (1994 - 2024) and receive the Government's Emulation Flag. Cam Lo town was established on August 1, 1994, on the basis of separation from Cam Thanh commune. With the tradition of patriotism, self-reliance, dynamism and creativity, after 30 years of construction and development, the Party Committee, government and people of Cam Lo town have overcome difficulties, completed the socio-economic development goals, maintained national defense and security, and formed a bright, green, clean and beautiful district center.

In particular, the average annual economic growth rate is over 15%; the economic structure has shifted in the right direction, the non-agricultural labor rate accounts for 87%; trade, services - small-scale industry have many improvements, business establishments have increased rapidly in both quantity and quality. The economic model has applied scientific and technological advances to bring high efficiency.

Thanks to that, the poverty rate has decreased to 1.5%; GRDP per capita has reached 88 million VND (58 times higher than in 1994). In addition, the essential infrastructure system, especially transportation in the town, has been increasingly invested in and upgraded synchronously, meeting the development needs of the locality.

The cultural and social fields have changed positively, social security has been ensured, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved. Cam Lo Town has always been the leading locality in the district in terms of education quality; maintaining 100% of units and neighborhoods meeting cultural standards.

Party building and political system building work are regularly paid attention to and focused on all three aspects: politics, ideology and organization. The great national unity bloc is expanded, thereby, the people's trust in the Party and the State is increasingly solid.

In recognition of the achievements, over the past time, the Party Committee, government and people of Cam Lo town have been honored to receive many certificates of merit, certificates of merit and noble emulation titles from the Party, the State, ministries, central branches, leaders of Cam Lo province and district. In particular, on this occasion, Cam Lo town was honored to receive the Emulation Flag of Excellent Unit for the second time from the Government.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung awarded the Government's Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit to the officials and people of Cam Lo town.
